Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster Skywalker X-33 for a while now. It’s a pretty cool watch, not your everyday kind of timepiece. I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one. Let me tell you about the whole process.
First, I did a bunch of research. I mean, you don’t just drop that kind of cash without knowing what you’re getting into, right? I found out that this watch is powered by this quartz chronograph movement, OMEGA calibre 5619. Sounds fancy, but basically it means it’s a battery-powered watch, but with a lot of extra features.
Then I started digging into the details. The watch case is 45mm wide, which is a good size for my wrist, and it’s 15.1mm thick, it is not heavy. It’s made of grade 2 titanium. And it’s called the Skywalker, which sounds super cool, It’s the third generation of the X-33. I guess that means it’s been around for a while and they’ve been improving it over time.

The last thing I checked out was what other people were saying about it. There was some talk about some auctions where these watches were sold, which got me thinking about how this watch holds its value. Then there’s something about a Solar Impulse project, which I guess this watch is tied to in some way. It’s a good cause, which is a nice bonus.
Anyway, after all that, I finally decided to buy it. I found a good one, and now it’s on my wrist. It feels good, looks good, and I’m pretty happy with my purchase. It wasn’t a cheap buy, but for what it is, I think it was worth it.
I wore it for a few days, and show it to my friends. They all said it was cool. So I think I made a good decision. It’s not every day you get to wear a watch that’s designed for astronauts!
